I didn't get baptized at all but I receive a holy spirit but I am in struggle with a holy spirit because the holy spirit is not good one so I wanna receive a new holy spirit who will drive the evil holy spirit out of my body. This evil holy spirit is living but if I get baptized and confirmed, I wonder if a new and much more powerful holy spirit will come on me at the confirmation ceremony. I have to receive a new holy spirit who is much more powerful that the old one that dwells inside my body. If I get rebaptized, what if the old holy spirit resist my reception of a new holy spirit. I have to receive a new holy spirit in order to be alive. With current holy spirit, I will be dead without reason. Also unimaginable tragedy happen. I am really sick of the old holy spirit that will live for his own deeds

Welcome to the EV board, poplove. I'm glad you're here. First of all, I think we need to clarify some terminology. According to most Christian belief, there are many spirits, but only one Holy Spirit. This is the one that comes from God(in fact, it IS God, dwelling within you). Speaking for myself, your predicament sounds remarkably like the one described by St. Paul in his letter to the Romans: 14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
Romans 7:14-25 New International Version (NIV) So you can see that you are not the only one struggling in this way; everyone does, to one degree or another. As far as recieving God's Holy Spirit is concerned, the normal channel is baptism/confirmation, as you have stated. However, in Acts, chapter 10, the apostle Peter is astonished to see the HS received by people who have not yet been baptised; also, in Acts 19, Paul meets some disciples who have not received the HS in spite of having been baptised. It seems clear that the HS of God is not bound by our expectations. He certainly does not move at our command, but will often respond to our invitation. If you have never been baptised, I would definitely recommend that you start by talking to a priest or other clergyperson in your area about your situation; they can point you in the right direction for baptism/confirmation. I will pray for you; please pray for me as well. Pax; angli_fan

What I ask about confirmation baptism is that if a new holy spirit will come on me to drive the old and evil holy spirit out of my body. I already have a holy spirit but I can't live normal. The reason I receive a confirmation baptism is to receive a new and more powerful holy spirit that will drive the old holy spirit that is fixed at my body not to go out of my body. In confirmation ceremony, does a new holy spirit come on me although I already have the old one?

Hello again, Normal girl; I need to start by telling you that there is no such thing as a spirit that is both "evil" and "holy"; these words mean opposite things. A spirit (or anything else, for that matter) can be either evil or holy, but not both. The Episcopal church teaches that in baptism, the candidate is "sealed by the Holy Spirit, and marked as Christ's own, forever". In Confirmation, the bishop lays hands on the one being confirmed, and prays that the Holy Spirit received at Baptism be strengthened in them, and that they will be empowered for God's service. These are seperate events, although they sometimes both occur during the same service. I hope this information helps to answer your questions about what goes on during Baptism and Confirmation. I urge you again to speak to a clergyperson in your area if you need more detailed information. Pax; angli_fan

Because I already have a holy spirit but the reason for getting baptism is to receive a new holy spirit who will drive the old holy spirit that is fixed at my body. My current holy spirit is quite dangerous to live my life normal. In baptism service, Can I receive a new holy spirit? I need a new and more powerful holy spirit who will drive the old one.

In baptism service, can I receive a new holy spirit? I utimately seek a new and powerful holy spirit who will drive the current holy spirit who brings tragedy to my life. With current holy spirit, I can't expect to work for my salvation and gaining eternity
