Can somebody give me a grammar lesson regarding the words "Episcopal" and "Episcopalian"? When is it appropriate to use "Episcopal" and when is it appropriate to use "Episcopalian"?
There is a radio talk show host in Boston named Lovell Dyett who talks about how his father was an "Episcopalian Priest". I thought the correct term was "Episcopal Priest". No?

"Episcopal" is an adjective. "Episcopalian" is a noun. Episcopalians go to the Episcopal church. Episcopals never, ever go to the Episcopalian church. Pax; angli_fan
