Since I was young, I felt called to the priesthood. In my teenage years I was very active in my Roman Catholic Church as a CCD teacher, RCIA instructor, and as a master of ceremonies. However, due to my sexual orientation as homosexual, I never felt completely accepted in the Roman Church. Then, in college I began my journey from Rome to Canterbury and have been an Episcopalian for 4 years. Now, I am out of college and I still feel a strong call to the Episcopal Priesthood. My question is: Can a convert become an episcopal priest even if his or her first intention was to become a Roman Catholic priest?
Thank you in advance!
