The rector is trying to push my family out of the church after they complained about questionable HR, governance and financial practices. (Think bank deposits that regularly don't add up, financials that are obviously wrong, and bullying by church employees.)
As part of his campaign, the rector has instructed staff to misuse funds we gave to the church, to deny us access to the building, and more. Clergy at the church have even engaged in a smear campaign.
Please write to the bishop of Virginia, + Shannon Johnston, at sjohnston@thedioxese.net to ask for a complete, impartial, fair investigation. And contact the vestry at vestry@gracealex.org
Thank you

This is Sigrid’s son, Eric.
As an update, most recently rector Bob Malm filed a false police report against me, accusing me of threatening him and of being a “domestic terrorist.” While the police did not do anything, Bob sought a protective order in civil court; in the course of the proceedings, Bob repeatedly committed perjury, inter alia falsely claiming:
- My mom had repeatedly setup appointments with him and no-showed (hard to do for a terminally ill woman who cannot walk or use the phone) - Only his wife has blogged about our conflict, when he knows full well that his daughter Lindsey has as well. - I was never licensed to practice law. - I never served as a police officer. - I violated the court order.
These come on the heels of other lies, including one he told in front of the bishop, which was that parish trustees must be vestry members, and a lie he told repeatedly, which was that church office state “would be retiring that year.”
To date, the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia refuses to investigate or address these allegations.
