An Evangelical re-thinks his position on inclusion

A Presbyterian minister, a devout and committed Evangelical, has changed his thinking on homosexuality. This is one of the clearest, and therefore most beautiful, things I have ever read.

Idolatry is perhaps the greatest of all sins because it opens the door to unrestrained evil. It gives sinners license not only to live in sin, but to sanction it, which comes from Satan. If you make a God in your image, one you feel comfortable with in your mind, you can then create your own moral standards to go along with him…or her. You can create a God that condones homosexuality, Pre-martial sex, divorce, the killing of unborn babies without qualms of conscience.

EXAMPLE: I find a wonderful girl and we both love each other and respect each other. We have pre-martial sex before we marry. As a good person and a human being I see nothing wrong with that. But under God’s law that is a sin. It does not make me any better or any worse than the homosexual you Committed the act or the person who stole. A sin is a sin period.
